Story

The Brain Forum was founded by The late Dr. Walid Juffali, businessman, entrepreneur, scientist and philanthropist, as part of the W Science Initiative.

His vision was to create a platform that would contribute to the progression of brain research and encourage global collaboration and initiatives with the potential to transform lives.

Our first international conference was held in 2013, followed by a second in 2015 with over 1000 participants from 27 different countries. Following this, the conference became an annual event. In 2016, we hosted more than 1400 participants from 31 different countries.

The Brain Forum, in partnership with the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), returns in 2020 hosting an engaging programme entirely online for the first time ever at Europe’s largest neuroscience conference, the FENS Virtual Forum 2020, attracting thousands of international delegates from across 33 countries.
