After two days of in-depth presentations, lively panel discussions and groundbreaking exhibitions, The Brain Forum 2016 closed on Friday. With more than 1’400 visitors, this year’s edition has increased its attendance by a whopping 40% compared to last year.

The Brain Forum 2016 opened today and is generating massive interest among specialists as well as the general public: more than 1000 people have registered. Over the next two days, researchers, engineers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, industrialists, investors, funding agencies and policy makers will meet at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne (Switzerland) and contribute to translating brain science into tangible, accessible solutions.

This technology will complete the illusion of virtual reality by establishing one’s sense of embodiment in virtual worlds, breaking down the perceived boundaries between one’s physical environment and one’s experienced environment.

The Brain Forum Innovation Award, supported by A3 Angels, has been created to reward the best new project in the field of brain research. On 26 May a selected number of start‑ups will give a public presentation in front of decision-makers from business, politics, healthcare, science, technology and the media.
