The Human Brain Project: an overview

Prof. Sean Hill discusses the challenge of integrating the tremendous variety of  Big Data on the human brain. He reminds us that inspite of our advances we do not truly understand brain diseases or disorders, nor do we truly understand their treatments and how they work. The Human Brain Project is less about collecting data and far more about integrating it. Sean goes into detail about the 6 platforms that the Human Brain Project intends to deliver; neuroinformatics, brain simulation, medical informatics, high performance computing, neuromorphic computing and neurorobotics.
